The lecture will be held on Monday 27th September 2021 at 9.30 am via Teams.

Objective of the lecture

The purpose of the lesson is to make some brief remarks on the main cultural and philosophical elements that differentiate European and American background on citizenship. Neither European citizenship as a legal structure, nor the current great cultural debate on European Citizenship: I just want to point out some historical and cultural circumstances that, in my view, make different citizenship in USA in comparison with the citizenships of the Old Continent

Professor Daniele Porena

Daniele Porena is Associate Professor of Institutions of Public Law at the University of Perugia. His research interests range from environmental law to citizenship law and, in general, to public and constitutional law. He is the author of four monographs on the topics of federalism, citizenship, environmental law and sustainability. In addition, he is the author of over sixty essays published in scientific journals and volumes.
