UCLy has opened its third campus in Annecy!
UCLy has expanded again with the opening, in September 2020, of a third campus in the heart of
the city of Annecy.
This ambitious project, which is being carried out in cooperation with the Université Savoie Mont-Blanc (USMB), will expand UCLy’s reach within the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region. Following the Carnot and Saint Paul campuses in the centre of Lyon, the new "Alpes Europe" campus in Annecy increases the higher education options available in Haute-Savoie, a particularly dynamic border region.
This initiative which, from the outset was supported by many local authorities and companies, has become a reality thanks to the collaboration of the Lycée Saint-Michel in Annecy.
"UCLy is committed to introducing new courses, combining "social sciences, ethics, and humanities" to meet the needs of players in the fields of scientific, economic, and social affairs. Its international outlook and close ties with the business community are valuable assets. The creation of UCLy's third campus in the heart of the city of Annecy has enabled us to act on these priorities, and to expand the educational options avalaible in the Haute-Savoie region, in partnership with USMB."Olivier ARTUS, Rector of the Catholic University of Lyon
Law and Management on the front line of the Alpes Europe campus
This brand new building of more than 4,200 m² is designed for 1,000 students.
Among its 130 degree courses, UCLy has initially chosen to offer three courses from the Department of Law and from ESDES, its management school.
These courses, which have a strong international dimension, are aimed primarily at students from the Savoie and the transalpine region, and are designed to meet the needs of the region and open up attractive possibilities for continued studies.
The range of courses offered will be gradually expanded, involving all six of UCLy's faculties.
