The Union of Catholic Establishments of Higher Education (UDESCA) comprises the five French Catholic Universities and Institutes: Angers, Lille, Lyon, Paris and Toulouse.

This body facilitates joint action, research and projects in education and research.

Each year, UDESCA organises a symposium on major issues affecting universities, such as continuing education and motivating students.

UDESCA represents Catholic universities and institutes to the national government, particularly to the Ministry for Higher Education and Research, as well as to Catholic education bodies.

Father Michel Quesnel, Rector of the Catholic University of Lyon, has been UDESCA President since June 2007.
