The coming into force of the GDPR has signaled a marked shift in our attitude to data protection. The application of the GDPR is pervasive and lawyers throughout the EU and further afield must master the operation of that piece of EU regulation.
The course will provide students with a thorough understanding of the operation of the GDPR. It will focus on how, when and where the GDPR applies, the principles of protection, the rights of data subjects and how to meet compliance requirements. The approach will be resolutely practical, using concrete examples to develop students’ competence.
