Learn French or certify your level at ILCF
The Institute of French Language and Culture (ILCF) has specialized in teaching French to international students since 1948. As part of UCLy’s Faculty of Arts and Languages, ILCF provides full student status, access to an active campus life, and a wide range of academic opportunities.
At ILCF, you can also experience international diversity by studying alongside students from all over the world. Teaching methods are innovative, and courses are organized into French language and culture programs.
ILCF is also an Official examination center and offers several diplomas that certify your French language skills in everyday or professional contexts.
ILCF has extensive experience in welcoming international students and benefits from its location in the heart of the city, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lyon is also the second-largest city in France and a major economic and cultural center. Choose Lyon as the city through which you will discover French culture.
