Created in 1990, the Department of Psychology at UCLy aims to offer programmes combining strong theoretical knowledge with transferable skills useful to every student, regardless of their future career path.
The Department offers a complete psychology curriculum, from Bachelor’s to Master’s degree level, as well as continuing education programmes for professionals.
All programmes are closely connected to psychological practice and research, in order to support the evolution of professions and rethink care and support systems in line with people’s needs.

Our initial training programmes
La Licence de psychologie proposée à l’UCLy offre la possibilité de se former au métier de psychologue. Elle permet aussi de développer de nouvelles compétences spécifiques et transversales pour ceux qui veulent s’orienter vers d’autres exercices professionnels tels que les métiers de l’éducation et de l’enseignement.
Ce dispositif offre aux candidats (toutes les filières du bac, réorientation, reprise d’études…) l’opportunité de renforcer ses prérequis en parallèle de la 1ère année de licence de Psychologie.
Devenir un psychologue clinicien capable d’élaborer des pratiques adaptées à la rencontre et à l’accompagnement d’enfants et d’adolescents en difficultés, en articulation avec leur environnement familial et institutionnel.
Le Master en sciences sociales de l’UCLy donne des clefs pour s’engager dans la société, en privilégiant l’étude des vulnérabilités.

The Master’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology is based on the research group "Person, guidance and education".
The Master’s Degree in Social Sciences is led by the Faculty of Social Sciences at UCLy, in partnership with the Department of Psychology at UCLy.
The first year of the Master’s programme consists of a common core curriculum.
In the second year, the Master’s programme offers two tracks:
- Psychology
- Ethnology/Anthropology
preparing students for professional or research-oriented careers.
