UNESCO Chair “Memories, Culture and Interculturality”

Attached to the Catholic University of Lyon (UCLy), the Chair was established on November 10, 2007. It is a Chair dedicated to education, research, information, documentation, and international networking, fostering connections between cultures.

The UNESCO Chair project “Memory, Cultures and Interculturality” builds on more than three decades of university teaching, interdisciplinary research, and international and intercultural exchanges developed by UCLy.

The Chair is led by a team of lecturers and researchers from the Catholic University of Lyon, France, and abroad. It brings together individuals from diverse academic disciplines, professional backgrounds, and cultural origins. In their professional practice, these lecturers and researchers work daily — through their teaching and research activities — on the governance of cultural diversity in its many dimensions.
