The SEMP

To ensure reciprocity, mobility stays in Switzerland by students and staff from countries participating in Erasmus+ are supported through the SEMP (Swiss-European Mobility Program), which is managed by the national agency Movetia in Switzerland.

The Swiss-European Mobility Program allows students from European universities to study for 1 to 2 semesters at certain Swiss partner universities under bilateral agreements.

UCLy has bilateral agreements with the following Swiss institutions, depending on specific fields of study.

Some of these partner institutions participating in the SEMP program offer scholarships to UCLy students.

After selecting their academic program at UCLy for a study abroad experience at a Swiss partner institution, students may contact the International Relations Office at the partner university to learn about the procedures for applying for a SEMP scholarship, for which the main eligibility criteria ar1.e:

  1. Existence of a bilateral exchange agreement

An exchange agreement must exist between your university and the Swiss partner university in your field of study.

2. Official Nomination

You must be officially nominated by your home university.

3. Sufficient Language Proficiency

You must have sufficient language proficiency to follow the courses.

4. Scholarship Agreement and Final Report

All students receiving a SEMP scholarship must submit a study agreement and a final report.
