How to apply for an internship abroad
Thinking about doing an internship abroad during your studies? Depending on your faculty, school or institute, this opportunity may be part of your course.
There are several steps involved in preparing for an internship abroad:
1. Find out more
Contact your faculty or school to find out:
- Whether international internship opportunities are available;
- From which year of study you can undertake an internship abroad;
- Under what conditions it can be included in your programme.
2. Get in touch
Contact your faculty’s internship coordinator (see the list).
3. Plan your internship
Discuss your project with your internship coordinator and your future internship supervisor to prepare the internship agreement.
4. Arrange your funding
You may be eligible for financial support if your internship allows you to earn ECTS credits.
In this case, submit a grant application through your faculty, which will then forward it to the International Relations Office.
