Can you say or do anything online? If not, who is in charge of regulating the content and what are their obligations?
This course will address the issue of regulation of content on the internet. It will explore how individual freedoms may be curtailed or indeed protected online.
In particular, the course will analyze these aspects both in relation to EU law (i.e., by exploring the provisions of the Digital Services Act) and to the rich case law of the European Court of Human Rights on freedom of expression and information.
