Studying abroad during your degree
Would you like to study at a partner university for a semester or an academic year?
Depending on your course and faculty, you can gain international experience, develop your skills and enrich your academic and personal development.
Moving abroad involves several steps. Here are the key steps to help you plan your move with confidence:
1. I check that I can go
Check with your faculty, school or institute:
Are study abroad opportunities available as part of your degree programme?
From which year of your degree can you go abroad?
2. I choose my destinations
See the list of our partner universities.
3. I prepare my application
Each faculty has its own timetable and a mobility advisor to assist you.
You should submit your mobility preferences based on your academic results and your level of English.
See the list of mobility coordinators or advisors.
4. My application is being considered
A selection panel reviews your application and approves (or rejects) your choice of destination.
5. I have been selected
If your application is successful:
- you will be nominated to a partner university by your faculty’s mobility coordinator
- you will then enrol online with the host institution
6. I am sorting out my funding
You may be eligible for financial support (Erasmus+ or regional grants) if:
- your mobility programme leads to ECTS credits (30 or 60)
- you are going to a partner university
Good news: no further action is required on your part with the International Relations Office. Your mobility advisor will submit your grant application directly.
