The researcher is hosted on the Carnot or Saint Paul sites in the city center of Lyon (Rh\u00f4ne - 69).<\/p><p>A scientific advisor, member of the UR CONFLUENCE Sciences &amp; Humanities, accompanies the visiting researcher during his\/her stay. In recent years his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.co.il\/citations?hl=en&amp;user=D3XVf3sAAAAJ&amp;view_op=list_works&amp;sortby=pubdate\">research<\/a>\u00a0focuses on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/article\/2120631-bird-lookouts-make-alarm-calls-to-save-themselves-not-the-group\/\">behavioural ecology<\/a>\u00a0and on political theory emanating from the thought of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.21814\/eps.4.1.195\">Simone Weil<\/a>.\u00a0 He co-edited, with Denis Charbit, a volume of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carmelph.co.il\/product\/luttons-nous-pour-la-justice\/\">Hebrew translations of Weil&#8217;s essays<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the Open University of Israel he served as the executive vice president for academic affairs\u00a0during the years 2014-2017. He developed, among others, courses on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www-e.openu.ac.il\/courses\/10960.htm\">economic and social justice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His research stay will be supervised by Dr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/researchers\/discover-the-researchers\/simeoni-francesca-14309-2\/\">Francesca Simeoni<\/a> from P\u00f4le 2. She is interested in the French philosophy of the XX and XXI century. Before working on contemporary philosophy, she dedicated part of her research to Maine de Biran, a philosopher to whom she wrote her thesis at the University of Perugia in 1997 (the other part was devoted to the Philosophy of Mind and in particular to Louis Lavelle and Ren\u00e9 Le Senne). As a translator and specialist of Jean Nabert, she then studied contemporary French phenomenology (notably Jean-Luc Marion, Michel Henry and Jean-Louis Chr\u00e9tien). She has also been interested in questions of contemporary hermeneutics, to which she has devoted a research project on the question of translation as a method of intercultural hermeneutics.<\/p>\n<p>Four major publications attest to this path: <em>oscienza e libert\u00e0. Itinerario tra Mainde de Biran, Lavelle, Le Senne<\/em>\u00a0(Naple 2001)\u00a0;\u00a0<em>La fenomenologia rovesciata. As such, he intervened (in video due to the Covid epidemic) during the UCly colloquium \u201c<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/colloque-irenee-de-lyon-ucly\/\">Ir\u00e9n\u00e9e et l\u2019unit\u00e9 en question<\/a> <\/em>\u201c in 2020, organized by the pole 2 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/bible-and-ancient-literatures-and-cultures\/\">Bible, Litteratures et Cultures antiques<\/a>\u201d of the Research Unity <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/confluence-sciences-and-humanities-research-center\/\">CONFLUENCE : Sciences et Humanit\u00e9s (EA 1598)<\/a>. On the occasion of the year of St Irenaeus, he also participated in putting the <a href=\"https:\/\/irenaeus.hypotheses.org\/bibliographie\">International Bibliography of Irenean Studies online<\/a>, led by Professor Marie Chaieb. He is sharing his publishing expertise with the affiliated members of the research group #8.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Joireman&#8217;s research focuses on decision making in temporal dilemmas, environmental decision making, corporate social responsibility and public policy issues.
