Humanities Confluence Research Center was established as a result of the project to bring together different disciplinary fields which, on the one hand, have their own specific features and, on the other hand, allow cross-approaches with regard to <strong>anthropological<\/strong>, <strong>scientific<\/strong> and <strong>social<\/strong> issues:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An approach to cultures, based on a scientific analysis of their different manifestations and interactions.<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An approach to individual, social and environmental behaviour from the perspective of the humanities and legal sciences, taking into consideration the question of the meaning they express and convey.<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A \"living\" approach based on the study of the impact of environmental factors on biodiversity and health, and on cross-cutting disciplines such as epistemology and ethics.<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An approach to religious phenomena, not only from the perspective of critical observation \u2013 historical and sociological \u2013 and from the study of a specific corpus but also through a methodical study of the reasoned discourse that believing communities themselves hold concerning their faith, which constitutes \"theology\" proper.<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An approach to how companies integrate social, environmental and ethical concerns into their operations and governance (CSR), and innovation management.<\/li><\/ul><p>The intersection of these different approaches allows a precise multidisciplinary examination of contemporary ethical issues in the different fields in which they arise (environment, intercultural dialogue, ethics in science).<\/p><p>The Sciences &amp; Humanities Confluence Research Center aims to increase the quality and scientific visibility of UCLy and to promote convergence between its <strong>165 teacher-researchers<\/strong>, including 26 HDR and 13 professors from the canonical faculties (<em>Nihil obstat<\/em>) as of 01\/10\/2024.<\/p><p><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8 research teams<\/h2><p>- Research cluster 1: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/theology-philosophy-and-religious-sciences\/\">Theology, philosophy and religious sciences in a contemporary context<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>- Research cluster 2: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/bible-and-ancient-literatures-and-cultures\/\">Bible, patristics and ancient cultures<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>- Research cluster 3: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/cultures-language-and-imaginaries\/\">Culture(s), language, imagination<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>- Research cluster 4: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/education-people-and-support\/\">People, Support and Education<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>- Research cluster 5: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/integral-human-development-ecology-and-ethics\/\">Ecology, epistemology, ethics<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>- Research cluster 6: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/legal-political-and-social-sciences\/\"><strong>Study of norms in<\/strong> <strong>a legal, political and social context<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>- Research cluster 7:<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/biosciences-technologies-and-ethics\/\">Biotechnologies, Health, Ethics<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>- Research cluster 8: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/research\/research-groups\/sustainable-business-and-organisations\/\">Sustainable business and organisations<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Journals and collection<\/h2><p>Three journals and a collection contribute to UCLy's influence.
