The Department of History supports students throughout their studies and in building their professional projects<\/h2>

Department of History<\/h3>

\u2022 The Bachelor\u2019s Degree in History<\/a> combines the study of History with political science, international relations, and geography. Two specialised minors are available: Political Science \u2013 Geopolitics<\/a> (available on the Lyon and Annecy campuses) and Political Science \u2013 Geography<\/a> (available only on the Lyon campus).<\/p>

\u2022 Opening in September 2026: Master\u2019s Degree in History \u2013 Expertise and Geopolitics of European Border Territories<\/a>. Through its multidisciplinary approach, the programme addresses political, economic, cultural, and environmental issues. Developed in partnership with Avignon University.<\/p>

Studying in the Department of History means benefiting from:<\/strong><\/h3>

\u2022 a high-quality multidisciplinary education<\/strong> covering various aspects of the Humanities: History, Political Science, Geopolitics, etc.<\/p>

\u2022 collaborations with the UCLy Departments of Law, Philosophy, and Human Formation.<\/p>

\u2022 exchange agreements with numerous universities across Europe and around the world, enabling students to spend a semester abroad<\/a><\/strong> during their third year of study (Canada, Hungary, Italy, the United Kingdom, Argentina, South Korea, etc.).<\/p>
