{"id":84053,"date":"2021-03-04T12:23:59","date_gmt":"2021-03-04T11:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/?post_type=cpt_event&#038;p=84053"},"modified":"2021-03-04T12:31:14","modified_gmt":"2021-03-04T11:31:14","slug":"lecture-of-professor-eduardo-silva-romero","status":"publish","type":"cpt_event","link":"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/en\/ucly\/our-institution\/events\/lecture-of-professor-eduardo-silva-romero\/","title":{"rendered":"Lecture of Professor Eduardo Silva Romero"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucly.fr\/l-ucly\/nos-ecoles\/faculte-de-droit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Faculty of Law<\/a> of UCLy is delighted to announce that <strong>Eduardo Silva Romero<\/strong> will deliver a lecture on his <strong>personal experience as counsel and arbitrator and will discuss cases involving state and\/ state entities.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/p><p>The lecture will be held on <strong>Friday 19<sup>th<\/sup> March 2021 at 5.30 pm via Zoom<\/strong>.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-text-image\">\n  <div class=\"row align-bottom collapse\">\n    <div class=\"column small-12 medium-6 xlarge-5 xxlarge-expand wp-block-text-image-info js-fade-scroll\">\n      <p class=\"wp-block-text-image-title\"><\/p>\n      <div class=\"wp-block-text-image-intro\"><p><strong>Eduardo Silva Romero<\/strong> is Professor Emeritus at the University of Rosario in Bogot\u00e1. He teaches investment arbitration and international contracts at the Institut d&#8217;Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), French arbitration law at the University of Paris-Dauphine (Paris IX), and the international arbitration at the University Panth\u00e9on-Assas (Paris II).<\/p>\n<p>Professor Silva Romero is also co-head of Dechert&#8217;s International Arbitration group. He is a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and President of the ICC Institute of International Business Law.<\/p>\n<p>He was Deputy Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration from 2000 to 2004, and Vice-President of the ICC Commission on International Arbitration from 2007 to 2017.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"column small-12 medium-6
