Presentation

Associate professor of law and a specialist of property law, have a particular interest in land law. The tools provided by land law are particularly useful in certain contractual operations which require careful consideration of which technique to pick. Furthermore, certain property law mechanisms can give legal meaning to the societal understanding of a need for environental responsibility and wiser choices in land use, due to limited space and resources. My work is part of a broader research on the function of legal technique, particularly in contrast with the continental notion of a subjective right which, in my view, is a mere reflection of of the parties’ subjective claims. I am also interested in foreign and comparative laws. This desire to reach out to foreign researchers and students is also displayed by my teachings and by my involvement in collective and international research.
