ILCF - French Language and Culture Institute

The Institute has specialized in teaching French to non-native speakers since 1948. It belongs to the Literature and Languages Department of the Catholic University of Lyon. Being a part of a much larger university provides those enrolled in our Institute with a student status, a university setting and many opportunities for a quality education.

Through the ILCF, you can augment your international experience by meeting students from all over the world who have also come to the Institute to study French. The Institute's teaching methods are progressive and the courses are organized in several language and culture programs.

The Institute has been approved as an official exams center for various French language diplomas which validate your French competences in daily or professional situations.

The ILCF is very experienced in welcoming foreign students and has the advantage of being located in the heart of the historical center of Lyon which is classified a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Moreover, Lyon is the second largest city in France, an economic and cultural hub of the country. You can make Lyon your place to discover French culture.
